Punkin Burns

We have a new addition to our family. This is a bit over due, but everyone needs to know about her!

This is our little Punkin Girl. Brandon brought her home one night; a total surprise!
She couldn't be any sweeter. As I am writing this I have the computer and my little girl in my lap. She always wants to be as close as she can with you. She constantly kisses and licks our faces and snuggles!

Since Brandon doesn't get home until 10pm every night, she keeps me company. It sounds weird to say that a cat is a blessing but she truly is to me. She makes me so happy and I love that we have her!!

Her eyes don't always look this crazy, but isn't this an adorable picture?!

When I sit at the table and do my bible studies she reads with me. Our cat is saved. :)

This is her in Uncle Kevin's shirt!!

Come visit us!! can't wait to see you all during the holidays!

Thanksgiving Fun!

Brandon and I were blessed to enjoy 2 wonderful Thanksgivings this year. We were unable to make it up to Clovis which we were so sad about, so my mom and Kevin ended up coming down here for the weekend!

This was the first time since the wedding that I had seen them so it was definitely a visit long awaited! We enjoyed a wonderful early Thanksgiving dinner with Brandon's family on Saturday night, and spent the next couple days getting started on some Christmas shopping and relaxing and enjoying one another. My mom taught me how to make some awesome dinners which was a lot of fun also!

We then spent Monday afternoon up at Oak Glen, our new favorite fall tradition. It was absolutely gorgeous up there. Though we were so sad that Brandon and Kristi could not make it because they both had to work.

Here are some fun pictures!

And this is Brandon and I on Thanksgiving. We spent the day with his mom's side of the family and enjoyed a nice evening with some amazing food!!

We are thankful for so many things this year, especially God and our families and His amazing love that binds us together.

One Month Anniversary

To celebrate our One Month Anniversary of being married we went up to the beautiful
Oak Glen
for the day!

My handsome husband!!

It finally felt like fall being up there!

We love the Hunts!

It has been the best month of our lives, well it's over one month now, and everything is still so wonderful!!!

God has been teaching us so much about serving one another and being thankful for the blessings he's so graciously given us. He has been teaching us about working hard and giving of our time and we can't wait to spend the holidays together!!

Honeymoon!!

We had an absolute blast on our Honeymoon in Palm Springs!
We stayed at a time share at a beautiful tennis club resort. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed such a relaxing week.

Here we are on our way! Our moms put together a basket full of goodies for us! It was so sweet!

This is the main part of the resort!

We enjoyed crusin around town! And walking around main street.

We loved trying new restaurants!

One of our favorite nights was spent at Bing Crosby's Restaurant and Piano Lounge. We got to dress up and watch the cutest 80 year old couples swing dance to the live band. We even got out for a couple songs! It was a nice treat!

We are definitely enjoying our time back at the apartment but there are several days we wish we could go back! It was such a special time for us! We haven't laughed or smiled as much as we did that week, and I think it's still in us!!

OurWedding

October 11, 2008

We can not believe that our wedding is over and done with. We feel so overwhelmed and blessed by all the events and of that day itself. It all went so smooth and we enjoyed every minute of it.

It was a beautiful day and we so enjoyed every one that was able to make it and be a part of it with us. We believe we had the best Bridal party ever! We are so thankful to them and to our families who have stood by us through it all and were so willing to be such a significant part of our day!

I absolutely love being Mrs. Andrea Burns! Not quite use to the new name but I know I will be soon!! :) Being married gets better each day. We are having such a great time! I am so blessed by my husband. I could not be more thankful.

Here are some pictures that some people took that day. We can't wait for our pictures from Tyler, so hopefully we will be posting those soon! Enjoy!

Just in Time?

So Brandon has still been job hunting, and he got an interview with a company for tomorrow morning. Right before he got the call about the interview, his boss at the job he is at right now said that he had to decrease his hours, which is not what we were expecting.

As we were discussing the situation last night, Brandon made the comment that his interview seems to be coming "just in time." In the mean time, we have found an awesome apartment that is in the same complex as some of our best friends! We are so excited about it, but this also means that we will be married before we know it and payments will have to be made.

Brandon's comment made us both stop mid conversation as we realized that none of this is "just in time", but it is in the Lord's perfect timing and in His perfect plan. So instead of feeling rushed and frustrated about the job situation we felt a great peace remembering that God has His hand upon us and this situation, and He will take care of us. It was a great reminder of who God is and it gave us great joy last night. He lead us here and we are confident that He will lead us through it all.

Susannah Spurgeon also has comforting words:

'Thy will be done.' (Matt 6:10) This resting in the will of God is one of the most comforting and blessed experiences of the Christian Life. To say, 'Thy will be done' - not in a reluctant or compulsory way, as if we were shrinking from some inevitable pain, but with a sincere and glad conviction that our dear father is really doing for us what is best and most loving, although it may not look so to our dull eyes - this is glorifying to him, and supremely consoling to us."

Please help us in praying that the right door will open and that we will follow in the wisdom of the Lord in this time!

The fun wedding events begin! Saturday, August 16th was the first day that I really felt like a bride.
