Valentine's Day

After quite a long week, Brandon and I got to enjoy a wonderful late Valentine's Day together. We enjoyed sleeping in and making breakfast together. We then, after an awesome Starbucks stop, traveled up to Big Bear! I had never been all the way up to the lake and the little town before. It was gorgeous! Completely full of snow, and it was such a gorgeous day!!

Here is a picture of the cute little snowman we made!

It was quite pitiful really but we had fun!
After walking around town, and simply enjoying being surrounded by God's amazing wonders and amazing fresh air, we traveled back down the hill for a nice dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. Then we spent some time with our awesome neighbors and then rented a movie!
It as a great treat to spend the entire day together. We definitely look forward to another trip up to the snow!!

Our Little Punkin

Our little Punkin girl went in for surgery to get spaded. Brandon took her in at 8am and I was like worried mother all day, dying to go and get her at the end of the day!
I was able to pick her up at 3:15pm. She was so drugged and tired when I brought her home. She stayed so close to me and we took a great nap together!
She was a little naughty though and bean getting at her stitches so she has to wear a cone for about a week! It makes me so sad to look at her!! But I think she is getting use to it.

Please keep her in your prayers!

A Good Week

This was a great new week for Brandon and I!
It began with an incredible Women's Retreat that I was able to attend with about 25 other amazing women from my church. This was the first year they put something like this on. It was incredible and such a refreshing weekend in the beautiful Laguna Beach! We laughed and laughed and learned so much about Christ and the purpose of relationships and how we need to treat them. The wonderful Angela Mooney spoke. Click here to see her blog where she has posted some notes and updates from the weekend!!

Then Monday Brandon began his new job! Yes, you heard me right, NEW JOB! We are so so thankful and it came at the perfect time, of course. It, again, was a perfect reminder to us that our timing is not the right timing, it's all in Him. He is now working for 3 other guys that own a company called Triple Crown Sports. These guys, for 15 years, put on club baseball and softball tournaments in the Southern California area. This is a year round job that keeps them all very busy and Brandon can't wait to be a part of it! He had an amazing first week!

Also, I was offered the assistant swim coach position at Woodcrest High School where I currently substitute teach. I was able to accept ad am absolutely thrilled! They have a great program with so many students that are excited about swimming. I already know a good majority of them so I look forward to expanding my coaching abilities and get more involved with these students!

Brandon also began his seminary classes! He is taking Church History and Christian Theology this semester. He goes to school Monday, and Tuesday nights. So though his new awesome work schedule gives him the great 8am-4:30 hours, us picking up these extra evening responsibilities will not help in seeing one another more, because I am too still waitressing, but God has been so good in giving us these opportunities that are both great passions of ours, we are just thankful!!

Thank you for all your prayers in this job situation that Brandon has been in for a while, We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends that are always so supportive and encouraging.

Late Christmas Pictures

So this blog is way late, but I really loved some of the pictures we took this Christmas so I wanted to share them!!

Christmas morning is always a special tradition! And Brandon and I got to spend it together this year! Both our families celebrate it the same way so that was nice. Brandon got me all the Jane Austin novels I didn't already have, and I got him an awesome scarf from Gap!!

Our Christmas Eve outfits before we went to church.

And our new Christmas Day outfits!

Day after Christmas shopping and a beautiful picture with our special grandparents!

We loved Our First Christmas together and can't wait for next year!!
